Currently, one of the biggest challenges facing the world is feeding a growing population without exhausting the planet’s resources.

Throughout this course, you’ll learn about food security from a food systems perspective, from the environmental impact of food production to the public health impacts of current and future diets. We examine the interactions between food systems and non-food policies, such as climate change and biodiversity conservation.

This course will introduce you to some of the tools used to collect information about these issues, such as big data, modeling, and behavior change models. You will also learn about interventions across food systems to address these global challenges, including sustainable agriculture measures and sustainable certification to dietary guidelines and behavior change.
