Students who complete this program will have a solid knowledge of fisheries science, fishing practices, fish biology, fish disease control, the economics of fisheries, seafood processing, sustainable harvesting, fish husbandry, quality control, waste management, and eco-certification requirements. As a part of the program, students will complete an applied entrepreneurship project in which they gain knowledge and skills to address critical issues and explore future opportunities. Upon graduation, students will be able to understand the challenges and trends facing the seafood industry, including harvesting, processing, and aquaculture.
