Through an examination of the physical, technical, and social dimensions of postharvest supply chains and loss prevention methods around the world, this course provides a global perspective on the issue of postharvest grain loss.
A third of all food produced each year is lost or wasted, making postharvest loss a critical global food security and sustainability issue. The following knowledge areas are discussed in detail:
