BSc (Hons) Forestry
The Forestry degree provides the skills, expertise, and knowledge necessary for the sustainable management of forests. There will be lectures, seminars, workshops, practicals, and site visits to different woodlands, forests, and other habitats as part of the students’ education. As the longest-established Forestry department in the UK, Bangor is world-renowned for its teaching and research.
The degree is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) and fulfills part of the requirement for Professional Membership Entry. Bangor will also pay for the first year of ICF student membership.
After graduating, most students find a job in conservation or forestry in the UK or abroad within six months. The university also offers a placement year and an international experience year.
