Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences (Animal Biology)
The Animal Sciences program includes courses in biotechnology, reproduction, genetics, nutrition, physiology, growth, behavior, and management. It is intended for students who are interested in pursuing professional or graduate programs. Students applying for the equine, food animal, or mixed-practice tracks are encouraged to take electives from the animal science programs at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Graduates of the Animal Sciences program work with the science and business of producing domestic livestock or animal-related products. They may also choose to pursue veterinary studies to work with companion animals, livestock, or other animals in the future.
