There has been a lot of interest in aquaponic technology around the world, particularly in the context of urban agriculture. However, how exactly does an aquaponics system work and what’s needed to run an aquaponics system successfully? Throughout the online course by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), you will learn about central topics in aquaponics. The concept of aquaponics involves the use of a wide range of knowledge from water chemistry, fish and plant physiology, engineering, to microbiology.
