Agricultural Economic Modeling Tools (edX)

In this course, students will learn about the various variables that interact within an agricultural system to drive economic and sustainability outcomes through manipulation of a sustainable agriculture model.

Using models as “thinking tools,” students will be able to analyze how variables varying in magnitude and time affect outcomes in specific situations. Modeling is preferred over field and farm experiments that require significant resources and may not provide enough information to identify effective and appropriate management practices.
